A bit belatedly, given that it’s almost mid-November, here are some of the photos that I took during my October photo challenge.
I decided to do ‘autumn’ as a subject, and then realised that I was going to be in Hawaii until the 7th of the month. So I changed my title to ‘autumn colours’ to enable me to sneak in a few Hawaiian photos as well!
I noticed that autumn colours didn’t appear until quite late into October, and I was struggling to find interesting autumn scenes. Fortunately a couple of nice wanders at Cliveden and at Ray Mill Island provided some autumn reflections, mushrooms and contrasting colours of leaves.
As I have noticed on previous photo months that I’ve done, I enjoyed capturing the detail of scenes, unusual colours and textures, and just being alert to the natural beauty that surrounded me as I drove and walked around my local area.
You can see a few more of my photos on my Flickr page. And visit the posts about the April photo challenge here – or the June one here.
