Those who’ve known me for a while, or read any of my blog posts about walking or charity will know that in 2010 I took part in a Three Peaks challenge. And since then I’ve done a bit of running and some cycling, but nothing quite as ambitious as walking up three mountains in 24 hours.
But this year, in September, I will be doing the Thames Path Challenge, a 50km (30mile) walk from Runnymede to Henley. I’m doing it with my Rotary Club, and we will be raising money for the charity Send a Cow.
We did our first training walk today, just 5 miles to ease us in gently. We came across these curious cows as we walked across Dorney Common, which were very appropriate for the charity we’re raising money for! Fortunately the grey sky didn’t rain on us too much, so we were lucky on this occasion.
Just Giving page to be added when it’s been set up – but in the meantime, you could read a blog post I wrote about Send a Cow back in 2012.
