We’ve been making good progress in our training for the Thames Path Challenge. As a team we’re regularly doing 6 mile walks and not suffering painful legs etc afterwards!
We did a lovely walk near Henley-on-Thames a couple of weeks ago, through fields of poppies and bright colour everywhere, followed by a wander along the riverside back into town.
And this weekend two of us did a walk in Windsor, 5.2 miles at quite a fast pace! It was a very warm morning, so we were glad to sit down and have lunch inside afterwards.
Our next team walk is a 6 mile loop near Marlow, followed by a visit to the pub. And following that we start to ramp up the training the next week, doing the Maidenhead Boundary Walk route – 14 miles around the historic boundary of Maidenhead.
We now have a Just Giving sponsorship page, so if you would like to support us in our quest to buy a ‘full farmyard’, you can now do so here.
